December 7, 2005 The
Easton Kiwanis Club entertained about 100 children at the
Intermediate Unit #20 facility at the Palmer Industrial
Park. This is a long-standing tradition with the
Easton Kiwanis Club and dates back well over 25 years.
Originally it started with a joint-venture with Phillipsburg
Kiwanis but now is entirely an Easton Kiwanis project.
Members arrive and begin an assembly line to fill the
children's goody-bags, then a quick lunch and then the fun
begins. This year "Dapper Dan" the clown was back to
entertain along with music by Darlene and "MC" by Roger
Barlow. And then the big moment, the
guy-in-the-red-suit arrived. Santa "worked" the crowd
of children spending time to meet and greet them all.
And at the end when the children boarded their school busses
they were presented their goody-bag by smiling Easton
Kiwanians and a couple of great Palmer Kiwanians too.
Everyone always looks forward to this special event at this
time of year.
